  1. What are your future plans?

“Attending UW-Milwaukee for its dual degree program in MSLIS in Library Science and MA in History.”

2. What is your favorite Honors Program memory?

“My favorite memory was the Lorado Taft Retreat because it introduced me to so many people and helped with my transition into university life.”

3. How did being part of the Honors Program help you during your time here at NIU?

“The Honors Program has been the most helpful experience for me at NIU. It allowed me to challenge myself within my coursework through honors courses and seminars (which eventually inspired my historical topic for my master’s degree) and gave me so many opportunities in research and study abroad experiences.”

4. What piece of advice to you have to new students starting in the Honors Program?

“My advice would be to take that leap of faith. Start research early about something you are truly passionate about, go to that conference or on that study abroad, or take that course you are nervous about. Time is going to pass regardless, make the most of it.”
