I graduated from UIC John Marshall Law School in May 2021 and commissioned in the United States Navy shortly thereafter. I attended both Officer Development School (ODS) and Naval Justice School in Newport, Rhode Island and reported to the Region Legal Service Office Midwest at Naval Station Great Lakes earlier this year.

In my current position as a Legal Assistance Attorney, I work in the Legal Assistance Office at Great Lakes. We assist service members and their dependents with a multitude of legal issues ranging from estate planning, family law, military rights/benefits, consumer law and landlord-tenant issues. Although this requires us to encounter a wide range of the law, one of the things I enjoy most about the JAG Corps is the variety of legal issues we encounter on a daily basis. Serving as a Judge Advocate has allowed me to give back to my community and country in a way that I may have not been able to achieve in a standard law practice job. It is an extremely rewarding position and I find I learn new things on the job each and every day.
