The Lincoln Academy Student Laureate Award goes to an outstanding senior from each of the four-year degree-granting institutions of higher learning in Illinois. Emma Whitlock, McKearn Fellow, won this prestigious honor, representing NIU this year. A first-generation college student, Whitlock is majoring in environmental studies and biological sciences, with minors in chemistry and English.
